Sometimes I used to wonder as to why big time producers or directors use other lyricists when their friendship with Kannadhasan was more than a working relationship like in the case of Sridhar, KSG, Devar Films, Muktha Seenivasan, KBalachander.

While on this topic I wish to recollect my meeting with Muktha Seenivasan sometimes back after his biography was launched where he had written extensively about Kannadhasan heaping praises on him. I asked him to verify who the lyricist was for the song 'Kai Mai Yenthu Vilayaadum' (Poojaikku Vandha Malar' 1965) as some were saying it was Kannadhasan whereas the disc shows it as Vaalee. He was not sure as it happened a long time ago.

He also told me that his personal choice was always Kannadhasan but during exigencies of time he had to use Vaalee. This was because, Kannadhasan was always mobile with his political meetings or night sessions of social gatherings etc. He also confided that his people back in his native place in Srirangam wanted him to consider Vaalee, another native of Srirangam. That explains the reasons for Muktha Seenivasan ( and possibly others referred to above) to use both of them in nearly all of his films although his personal preference was Kannadhasan.

1)வாலி அளவு சங்கீத அறிவு கொண்ட பாடலாசிரியர்கள் இந்திய அளவு கிடையாது. இதை விஸ்வநாதன்-ராமமூர்த்தி ,இளைய ராஜா முதல் இளம் இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் வரை சுட்டி காட்டியுள்ளனர்.
2)வாலி இலக்கியங்கள் அளவு புராண,இதிகாச,வேத அறிவுகளும் கொண்டிருந்ததால் வசீகர ,அபூர்வ கருத்துக்களை பாடல்களில் தர முடிந்தது. (சாண்டில்யன் கதைகள் போல)
3)வாலி down to earth .அணுக சுலபமானவர். அழிவு தரும் அகந்தையோ, தீய பழக்கங்களில் மூழ்கியோ போகாமல் உலகத்தோடு ஒட்டினார்.
4) 1959 முதல்- 2013 வரையான longevity with glory என்பது டெண்டுல்கர் சாதனைக்கு ஒப்பானது.
5)வாலி கொடுத்த range எந்த பாடலாசிரியரும் தொட முடியாதது.
தாங்கள் அடக்கி வாசிக்க எப்போது கற்பீர்கள்?புள்ளி விவரத்தில் உன்னதங்கள் நிர்ணயிக்க படுவதில்லை.
