Dear friends, NOV anneh's AMMA'S prayers are over.
Let us all pray for her soul to rest in peace.
I am sure she is resting at the Lotus Feet of Lord Siva.
AMMA rest in peace.

Dear friends, now is the season for cranberry in US.
They usually make a dish for THANKSGIVING DAY.
Our friend Sangeetha has made the cranberry thokku for us.
Enjoy, Kugan
CRANBERRY THOKKU
Ingredients:
¼ cup gingelly oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
350 grms cleaned cranberry, ground to coarse paste without adding water
2 tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp salt
½ tsp asafetida powder
¼ tsp roasted and powdered funugreek seeds
2 tsp jiggery
Method:
Heat a non stick pan with the oil.
Add in the mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
Now add in the ground cranberry paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
On slow flame keep on stirring, continuously, till the oil separates.
Now add in the asafetida powder, funugreek powder and the jiggery.
Stir well for another minute and remove from heat.
Chefs are just like children.
They should be seen not heard.

As I end the 16-day mourning period, my thoughts turn to the essence of Gita, which helps us understand our station in this mortal world.
We need constant reminders that the only thing constant in this world is Change.
Let peace prevail.....

thanks to everyone for your prayers and consoling.
Please come back and post your recipes and feedback as normal.
