Thanks, Poem, for posting Maestro's photo at Guruvayoor. It's indeed great to see two great legends together. As many of you know, our Maestro is standing before the life statue of Sree Guruvayoor Kesavan who is considered to be one of the most ardent devotees of Lord Krishna. "Gajarajan Kesavan" as he was fondly called, always carried Krishna's statue around the temple during the evening rituals. Kesavan died on Ekadashi day in 1976 while fasting. When Kesavan was dying, he came and stood before the main sanctum by stretching his trunk pointing to Lord Krishna as Namaskaram and took his last breath. The Devasvom board and devotees decided to erect Kesavan's statue in East Nada, perhaps the only life statue dedicated to an animal. May Lord Krishna and Kesavan bless our Raaja with good health and spirit to enable him to rise further with his mesmerizing music and presence. It's been a year since I attended "Raaja The Raaja" London O2 concert - it was indeed a musical rain in London. I haven't seen the recording of the concert being posted anywhere. Maestro rendered 42 songs without any interruptions, except for Kamal's arrival.
