I came across this posting while I was reading old post from Mr Raghavendra.:-

(Just a few days ago, Murali and I were discussing about this and you have touched the point. In my personal opinion, why shall not we ourselves take the initiative? Why wait for any particular situation? If every thing is ok, if there is full cooperation, what we thought was of contemplating a society in Chennai, a film society. We can hire a mini auditorium, choose a picture available, screen it in a LCD projected sreen, invite any technician, crew, director, actor, cnematographer who is available for that film to share his/ her experiences during the shooting of that particular film, nuances, highlights of the film etc. The expenses can be shared by those who are willing to join the group. The modalities can be discussed in personal by arranging a small get together and chart out how it could happen. This has been going on in my mind for quite a long time and as expressed by many fans to me in response to the website. I am eager to know the feedback of all of us on this idea. If it is successful in Chennai, it would be successful throughout the world)))

I am wondering if anybody has anybody taken initiative of the above. If yes, I would like to join one of the screening.

பக்த துக்காராம். (1973)

ஒரு அபூர்வ காவியத்தின் அலசல்.



(நம் பகுதி மட்டும்)

பக்த துக்காராமின் (நாகேஸ்வரராவ்) புகழ் பொறுக்காமல் அந்த கிராமத்தின் பெரிய மனிதன் போர்வையில் உலாவும் வஞ்சகன் மும்பாஜி (நாகபூஷணம்) துக்காராமுக்கு பலவகையிலும் தொல்லைகள் அளித்து வருகிறான். தான் வணங்கும் பாண்டுரங்கனின் அருளால் துக்காராமுக்கு வரும் மலை போன்ற சோதனைகள் யாவும் பனி போல விலகி விடுகின்றன. இறுதியில் மும்பாஜி ஒரு சதித்திட்டம் தீட்டி கிராமத்தின் பாண்டுரங்கநாதர் கோவிலில் உள்ள பாண்டுரங்கனின் விக்கிரகத்தை இரவோடு இரவாக திருடி, மறுநாள் துக்காராமரின் போலி பக்தியாலும், பகவானுக்கு துக்காராம் அபச்சாரம் செய்ததாலும்தான் துக்காராம் மேல் உள்ள கோபத்தினால் கடவுள் விக்கிரகம் மறைந்து விட்டது என்று கதை கட்டுகிறான். அதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் ஊர்மக்களை நம்பவைக்க பாண்டுரங்க சுவாமியே துக்காராமின் மீது பழி சொல்வது போல அசரீரி ஒலிக்குமாறு ஏற்பாடு செய்து துக்காராமுக்கு கெட்ட பெயர் உருவாக்குகிறான். துக்காராமை குற்றவாளியாக்கி மராட்டிய மன்னர் 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜியிடம் துக்காராமுக்கு தண்டனை அளிக்குமாறு வேறு வேண்டுகோள் விடுக்கிறான் மும்பாஜி. ஆனால் சிவாஜி துக்காராமை நேரடியாகவே விசாரணை செய்வதாகக் கூறி சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கோவிலுக்கு வந்து துக்காராமை விக்கிரகம் காணாமல் போனது பற்றி விசாரணை செய்கிறார். துக்காராம் தான் குற்றத்திற்கு காரணமல்ல என்று சிவாஜியிடம் எடுத்தியம்புகிறார். துக்காராமின் உண்மையான பக்தியும், அவர் நன்னடத்தையும் சிவாஜி அறிந்ததே. இருப்பினும் விக்கிரகம் மறுநாளைக்குள் உரிய இடத்தில் வந்து சேர வேண்டும்... இல்லையென்றால் துக்காராமுக்கு மரண தண்டனை என்று தீர்ப்பளித்து விடுகிறார் சத்ரபதி. துக்காராமனின் மனைவி தன் கணவர் குற்றவாளி அல்ல என்று சிவாஜியிடம் மன்றாடுகிறாள். துக்காராம் சிவாஜி முன்னிலையிலேயே பாண்டுரங்கனை மனதில் நிறுத்தி மனமுருகி பாடி வேண்ட மறைந்து போன விக்கிரகம் தெய்வ அருளாலும், துக்காராமின் உண்மையான பக்தியாலும் உரிய இடத்தில் மீண்டும் பிரதிஷ்டை ஆகிறது. துக்காராமின் உண்மையான பக்தியை சிவாஜியும், ஊர்மக்களும் உணர்கிறார்கள். அவரை மகான் என்று பூஜிக்கிறார்கள். துக்காராம் புனிதமானவர் என்று முன்னமேயே தனக்குத் தெரியும்... என்றாலும் ஊர்மக்கள் அதனை உணர வேண்டும் என்ற நல்லெண்ணத்தில்தான் துக்காராமிடம் சற்று கடுமையாக நடந்து கொண்டதாக சிவாஜி கூறுகிறார்.



இதற்கு நடுவில் மும்பாஜி சிவாஜியின் பரம வைரிகளான முகலாயர்களிடம் சிவாஜி கிராமத்தில் கோவிலில் தனியாக இருப்பதாகவும், சிவாஜியை சிறை பிடிக்க இதுதான் தக்க தருணம் என்றும் சிவாஜி இருக்கும் இடத்தைக் காட்டிக் கொடுத்து விடுகிறான். முகலாயப் படை சிவாஜியை பிடிக்க புறப்பட விஷயம் சிவாஜிக்கு தெரிந்து விடுகிறது. அடுத்த கணமே சிவாஜி போருக்குத் தயாராகக் கிளம்ப, துக்காராம் தம் மன்னரின் நன்மை கருதி சிவாஜியைத் தடுக்கிறார். சிவாஜியோ கோவிலில் போர் நடந்து ரத்தக்கறை படிய வேண்டாம் என்று கிளம்ப எத்தனிக்க, துக்காராமோ பாண்டுரங்கனின் அருளால் அப்படி எதுவும் நிகழாது என்று உறுதியளித்து சிவாஜியை போகவிடாமல் தடுத்து விடுகிறார். பின் சிவாஜிக்கும், நாட்டிற்கும் வரவிருக்கும் பேராபத்தை தடுத்து ஆட்கொள்ளுமாறு மனமுருகி பாண்டுரங்கனிடம் வேண்டிப் பாடுகிறார் துக்காராம். முகலாயர் படை கோவிலில் நுழைந்து சிவாஜியைப் பிடிக்க, பாண்டுரங்கனின் அருளால் முகலாயர்கள் பிடிக்கும் சிவாஜி ஊர்மக்களில் பலபேராக உருமாறி முகலாயர்களைத் திகைக்க வைக்கிறார். அதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் சிவாஜியைப் பிடிக்க வரும் முகலாயர்களின் குதிரைப்படையை பாண்டுரங்கநாதரே சிவாஜி உருவெடுத்து, குதிரையில் சென்று எதிர்கொண்டு, பல எண்ணற்ற சிவாஜிக்களாக பெருகி முகலாயர்களை சின்னாபின்னாப் படுத்துகிறார்.

கோவிலில் இருக்கும் 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜிக்கு இவ்விஷயம் தெரியவர, துக்காராமரின் உண்மையான பக்திதான் கடவுள் தன் உருவங்களில் வந்து முகலாயர்களிடம் போரிட்டு தன்னையும், தன் நாட்டையும் காப்பாற்றியதற்கு காரணம் என கண்கூடாக உணர்கிறார். துக்காராமை தன் குருவாக ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு தனக்கு "இந்த நாடு வேண்டாம்...துக்காராமுக்கு தொண்டு செய்து வாழ்வதே இனி தனது விருப்பம்" என்று கூற, துக்காராமோ "மன்னன் தனது கடமையில் இருந்து தவறக் கூடாது... வீரனுக்கு கைவாளே தெய்வமாகும்... நாட்டு மக்களை பாதுகாப்பாதே மன்னனது உண்மையான பணி' என்று சிவாஜிக்கு அறிவுரை கூறி அனுப்புகிறார்.



மராட்டிய மன்னன் 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜியாக 'நடிகர் திலகம்' சிவாஜி கணேசன். படம் முடியும் தருவாயில் கடைசி பதினைந்து நிமிடங்களில் 'சிவாஜி'யின் ராஜ்ஜியம் கொடி கட்டிப் பறக்க ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. எந்த வேடத்திற்கும் பொருத்தமான நம் நடிகப் பேரரசருக்கு இந்த 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜி வேடம் பொருந்தும் அழகு இருக்கிறதே! அது ஒரு தனி ஸ்பெஷல்தான் போங்கள். சும்மாவா பெயர் வைத்தார் பெரியார் 'சிவாஜி' என்று! அந்த உடையலங்காரமும், கழுத்தை அலங்கரிக்கும் முத்து மாலைகளும், தலையை அலங்கரிக்கும் அந்த 'சிவாஜி' ஸ்பெஷல் தலைப்பாகையும், உடையோடு சேர்ந்த கம்பீர நடையும், முகத்தில் கண நேரங்களில் தோன்றி மறையும் கணக்கில்லா உணர்வு பாவங்களும் சொல்லி மாள முடியாதவை.

மும்பாஜி துக்காராம் பெயரைச் சொல்லி சபையில் குற்றம் சுமத்தும் போது முகத்தைக் கேள்விக்குறியாக்கி, "துக்காராம்?"!!! என்று வினவ ஆரம்பிப்பதில் இருந்தே சிவாஜி சாம்ராஜ்யம் தொடங்கி விடுகிறது. துக்காராமின் மீது பழி கூறும் போது நம்ப முடியாமல் ,"நான் கேட்டது ஒன்று...நீ சொல்வது ஒன்று" என்று மும்பாஜியிடம் திகைக்கும் இடம் அருமையான அற்புதம். மும்பாஜி,"விக்கிரகம் மறைந்து போய் விட்டது," என்று கூறும் போது ,"என்ன விக்கிரகம் மறைந்து போய் விடுமா?!!! என்று ஏக ஆச்சர்யக் குறிகளுடன் பண்டிட்ஜியை 'சிவாஜி' நோக்குவது அம்சம். பின் விசாரணை மேற்கொள்ள கோவிலுக்கு வரும் போது நடந்து வரும் நடை இருக்கிறதே... நயமான நடை... (பக்தியுடன் கோவிலுக்கு வருவதைக் காட்ட வீர நடையை கொஞ்சம் தளர்த்தி சற்றே வீரமும், அமைதியும், பக்தியும் கலந்த நடையை இந்த இடத்தில் மிக வித்தியாசமாகக் காட்டியிருப்பார். கோவிலுக்கு செல்லுமுன் மிக அழகாக காலணிகளைக் கழற்றிவிட்டு செல்வார்.) விக்கிரகம் மறைந்து போனதை துக்காராமிடம் விசாரிக்கும் போது அதில் அதிகார தொனி அதிகமில்லாமலும் பார்த்துக் கொள்வார். எதிரே தாம் விசாரணை செய்வது ஒர் அப்பழுக்கில்லாத இறைவனடியார்... அவரிடம் மேற்கொள்ளக்கூடிய விசாரணை மிக மரியாதையானதாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஜாக்கிரதை உணர்வு அதில் மிகச் சரியாகத் தெரியும். துக்காராமை 'சிவாஜி' உற்று நோக்குகையில் அவர் கண்களில் ஒரு தீட்சண்யமான ஒளி குடிகொண்டிருப்பதைக் காண முடியும். கண்களில் அப்படி ஒரு பிரகாசம் தீபமாய் ஜொலிக்கும் .நெற்றியில் இடப்பட்டுள்ள பிறைபொட்டு அவருக்குள்ளிருக்கும் வீரத்தை விவேகமாய் வெளிப்படுத்தியபடியே இருக்கும். துக்காராம் மெய்மறந்து பாண்டுரங்கனை பாடித் தொழுது கடவுளின் சிலை மறுபடி அதே இடத்தில் காணப்பட்டவுடன் 'சிவாஜி' யின் கண்களின் ஒளி மேலும் பிரகாசமாய் தீவிரமடையும். "இந்தப் புனிதமானவன் நிரபராதி என்றும், மகா பக்தர் என்றும் நாமறிவோம்....ஆனால் உலகமறிய வேண்டும்... அது குறித்தே இன்று இந்த கடின பரிட்சையை வைக்க வேண்டி வந்தது" என்று துக்காராமனின் மனைவி அஞ்சலிதேவியிடம் கூறும் போது நீதி நெறி தவறாத மன்னனின் மனநிலைமையை நியாயாதிபதியாய் அற்புதமாய் உணர்த்துவார் நடிகர் திலகம் 'சிவாஜி'



முகலாயர்கள் தன்னை சிறை பிடிக்க வருகிறார்கள் என்று ஒற்றன் மூலமாக செய்தி வந்தவுடன் அதுவரை சாந்தமாய் இருந்தவரிடம் வீரம் கொப்பளித்துக் கிளம்பும். "நாமே சென்று அவர்களை எதிர்ப்போம்... வெற்றியோ அல்லது வீர மரணமோ தெரிந்து கொள்வோம்" என்று முழக்கமிட்டு கிளம்பும் வேகம் இருக்கையை விட்டு நம்மை எழுந்து விடச் சொல்லும். பின் துக்காராம் சாந்தப்படுத்தும் போது,"என்னைத் தடுக்காதீர்கள்... திடீர்ப் போராட்டங்கள் நமக்கும், நம் வாளுக்கும் பழக்கம்தான்...ஜெய் பவானி!" என்று சிங்கமாய் கர்ஜிக்கும்போது 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜி மறைந்திருந்து எதிரிகளைத் தாக்கும் கொரில்லாப் போரை அந்த கர்ஜனை ஞாபகப்படுத்தும். அதற்கு துக்காராம் "தங்கள் தெளிவும், துணிவும், வீர பராக்கிரமும் எனக்கும் தெரியும்" என்று இவரிடம் கூறும் போது வீரமும், பெருமிதமும் ஒன்று சேர மீசையை ஒரு முறுக்கு முறுக்குவார் பாருங்கள்...தன் வீரத்தின் மீது தான் கொண்டிருக்கும் தன்னம்பிக்கை முகத்தில் அப்படியே பட்டவர்த்தனமாய் நர்த்தனமாடும்... பின் துக்காராம் சொல்லுக்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டு மீண்டும் அமைதியானவுடன் கடவுள் சிவாஜி அவதாரமெடுத்து குதிரையில் காட்டில் பயணிக்கையில் நடிகர் திலகம் குதிரையேற்றம் செய்தபடி வரும் காட்சிகள் அமர்க்களமோ அமர்க்களம். (இந்த இடத்தில் உடையின் நிறம் ரோஸ் கலருக்கு மாறியிருக்கும்... அவ்வளவு பொருத்தமாக அந்த உடையும், உடையின் நிறமும் நடிகர் திலகத்திற்குப் பொருந்தியிருக்கும்.) பொதுவாகவே நடிகர் திலகத்தின் குதிரையேற்றத்தைக் காணக் கண்கோடி வேண்டும். (உத்தம புத்திரன், மருத நாட்டு வீரன், படித்தால் மட்டும் போதுமா... இப்படிப் பல) அதிலும் இந்தக் குறிப்பிட்ட காட்சியில் ஒரிஜினல் சத்ரபதியே வந்து விட்டாரோ என்று அதிசயிக்கும் அளவிற்கு அற்புதமாக குதிரை சவாரி செய்து அசத்துவார். அதுவும் நெருக்கமான இரண்டு மரங்களுக்கு இடையே குதிரையை வெகு லாவகமாக ஓட்டியபடி வரும் அழகே அழகு. பின்னர் என்ன! ஒரே அதகளம்தான். எதிரிகள் தன்னைச் சுற்றி குதிரைகளில் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ள வாளை உருவியபடி நடுவில் புரவியில் அமர்ந்தபடி வாளால் எதிரிகளை வெட்டி வீழ்த்துவது அதியற்புதம். நடுநடுவில் ஹா ஹா ஹா,..என்று ஓங்காரமிட்டு வெற்றிக்களிப்பில் சிரித்தபடியே முகலாய வீரர்களைப் பந்தாடுவது செம தூள். ஒரு சிவாஜி பல சிவாஜிக்களாய் மாறி (matrix பாணியில்) சண்டையிடும் போது காமெராக் கோணங்கள் அற்புதம். மிக பிரமாதமாய் அமைக்கப்பட்ட சண்டைக்காட்சி. (லொக்கேஷன் வேறு நெஞ்சையள்ளும்) நடிகர் திலகத்தின் கம்பீரத்தாலும், ஈடு சொல்ல முடியாத அவருடைய ஈடுபாட்டாலும் இந்த சண்டைக்காட்சி அவருடைய சண்டைக்காட்சிகளில் ஒரு மணிமகுடம் என்றே சொல்லலாம். ஒவ்வொரு சமயமும் சண்டையிட்டபடியே குதிரையை அவ்வளவு அற்புதமாகத் திருப்புவார். நடிகர் திலகம் குதிரையில் அமர்ந்து அதை நாம் பார்க்கும் சுகமே அலாதி. ஆன்மீகக் கருத்துக்களை வலியுறுத்தும் இந்தப் படம் நடிகர் திலகம் சத்ரபதியாய் நமக்குக் காட்சியளிக்கத் தொடங்கியவுடன் விறுவிறுப்பின் எல்லைகளை நோக்கி வீறுநடை போட ஆரம்பித்து விடுகிறது. ஒரு கால் மணி நேரம்... அதுவும் நன்றிக்கடனுக்காக நடித்துத் தோன்றிய கௌரவத் தோற்றம்தான்.... ஆனால் நடிகர் திலகமாய் நம் கண்களுக்குத் தெரியாமல் முழுக்க முழுக்க மராட்டிய மாமன்னன் 'சத்ரபதி' சிவாஜியாகத்தான் இப்படத்தில் ஆளுமை புரிகிறார் நடிகர் திலகம். அந்த சில நிமிடங்களில் தன் தனிப்பட்ட 'சிவாஜி' முத்திரையால் நம்மை சிலிர்க்க வைத்து விடுகிறார் நடிகர் திலகம். (இப்படம் தமிழிலும் மொழிமாற்றம் செய்து வெளியிடப்பட்டு வெற்றி வாகை சூடியது. தமிழ் டப்பிங்கில் நடிகர் திலகம் தன் சொந்தக் குரலிலேயே டப்பிங் கொடுத்திருந்தார். அதனால் இக்காவியம் இன்னும் உயிரோட்டமாய் இருந்தது)

Mr Vasu Sir,

I saw this movie in Tamil Version at Chennai Wellington theatre long time back with
my mother. She used to take us only NT's movies during that time. Recently I brought
the CD of Telegu Version and saw the movie. As you told he is very apt in not only
Shivaji Character but also other charatcter also. He is the only actor who can suits
for any character and it is a divine gift for our NT.

They are a middle-class family and her mother wants her to find another job as being air hostess means that she would come home late and it would be hard.
Meanwhile, Anand celebrates his birthday Vanisri goes to the same pub for her job now and she has an interview with the manager. However, the manager is a bad person who shuts the room and tries to rape her. Anand hears Latha screaming from outside as he is going home, and pushes the door. He fights the manager and takes Latha in his car to her own house. The next day, Latha returns to Anand's house with his coat that he gave her to wear and some money. She asks him for a job. He agrees and gives her a job as a person who takes care of his needs.
The next day,he shows her around his house and she meets his mother, brother and sister-in-law. Latha soon notices that Anand is an alcoholic and wants to go away but his servant says to her that she must not as after she has come, he is behaving a bit more properly.
Anand's fiancee comes to his home but she soon complains in front of Anand that he is a proper alcoholic and that she does not wish to marry him. Meanwhile his sister-in-law thinks that Latha has come to take his fiancee's place. Anand's mother is taken aback by her comment and Anand's fiancee's comment too. Latha tells her, after everyone has left the table; that she will try and stop Anand from drinking. Later on she catches Anand drinking with his servant(Nagesh). His servant runs away from seeing her but Anand stays there still drinking. Latha throws the glass after arguing with him and Anand gets so furious that he throws another glass bottle onto Latha's forehead. But he soon realises that what he did was bad and shoots all his drinking bottles and makes a promise to Latha that he will never drink again. He tells her about his life and that he had an Ayya who soon died when he was young and that he his father had died too. Anand builds a new palace for himself and the girl that he adores in his heart. This palace is called 'Vasantha Maligai'. He takes Latha to his house He shows her her own reflection in a separate room meaning that she is the girl.

Latha tells her, after everyone has left the table; that she will try and stop Anand from drinking. Later on she catches Anand drinking with his servant(Nagesh). His servant runs away from seeing her but Anand stays there still drinking. Latha throws the glass after arguing with him and Anand gets so furious that he throws another glass bottle onto Latha's forehead. But he soon realises that what he did was bad and shoots all his drinking bottles and makes a promise to Latha that he will never drink again. He tells her about his life and that he had an Ayya who soon died when he was young and that he his father had died too. Anand builds a new palace for himself and the girl that he adores in his heart. This palace is called 'Vasantha Maligai'. He takes Latha to his house He shows her her own reflection in a separate room meaning that she is the girl.
