Being an ordent fan and follower of sivaji movies since 1961 I can also stoutly say karnan was a boxoffice hit in1964. the amount of expectetatopns for the moviie was very high because of the publicities made earlier moreso in madras when compared to the other one in question. the karnan has raised to the expected levels and fared very well in boxoffice when you see the collections. it is definitely did good business those days and re runs aswell.
