Where The Mind Is Without Fear
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

பயமில்லா மனம்
எங்கே மனம் பயமில்லாதிருக்கிறதோ, தலை நிமிர்ந்த நிலையில் இருக்கிறதோ
எங்கே ஞானம் எளிதாய் உறைகிறதோ
எங்கே உலகம் குறுகிய வீட்டுச்சுவர்களால் துண்டுப்பகுதிகளாக உடைக்கப்படாதிருக்கிறதோ
எங்கே வார்த்தைகள் சத்தியத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து வருகின்றனவோ
எங்கே அயராத முயற்சியின் கரங்கள் சிறப்பின் உச்சத்தை எட்ட நீள்கிறதோ
எங்கே பகுத்தறிவெனும் தெளிந்த நீரோடை செத்தொழிந்த பழக்கமெனும் வறண்ட பாலை மணலில் தொலைந்துபோகாதிருக்கிறதோ
எங்கே மனம் விரிந்துகொண்டேயிருக்கும் சிந்தனை செயல் நோக்கி தங்களால் வழிநடத்திச்செல்லப்படுகிறதோ
அந்த சுதந்திர சுவர்க்கத்திலே, எந்தையே, எம் நாடு கண்விழிக்கட்டும்.
