A zero after number two, another after one are seen:
He and she tho’ two become one with love between

Twenty marching ahead, ten trailing behind
Heralds the golden era of sublime mankind

Nought stands after two and nought again after one
No enemy for you and me, one world with war gone

Two thousand and ten is a number round
May health, wealth and mirth then abound!

இருபது பின் தொடர்ந்து அதன் பாதி
சிரிப்பே என்றும் அணையா ஜோதி

இரண்டாயிரம் மற்றும் பத்து
இன்ப மகிழ்வே மனிதனின் சொத்து

இரண்டு பத்து அருகில் பத்து ஒன்று
அழுத்தம் விடுத்து அமைதி காத்தல் நன்று

ஒரு பூஜியம் இரண்டின் பின் மற்றொன்று ஒன்றின்பின் தெரிய
ஆனும் பெண்ணும் காதலால் ஒன்றென அறிய

இருபது முன்செல்ல பத்து பின்செல்ல
மனித இனத்தின் வளர்ச்சியை என்சொல்ல

ஒரு சுழியம் இரண்டின் பின் நிற்க ஒன்று ஒன்றின் பின்
ஒருவருக்கும் பகை இல்லை ஓருலகம் கண்ட பின்

இரண்டாயிரத்து பத்து ஒரு முழு எண்
ஈடில்லா இன்பங்கள் உன் முன்.

Consummation

Years and years of courtship,
An endless sport of dalliance
Is this magnificent obsession
That grows on fiery fantasies.

The little birdie warbles
Hidden in the thickly leaved trees;
So doth my playful lover-
Our sweet nothings fill the air.

I grope in vain
To touch the villain-
Keeps dodging, the wicked thief.
When will he take me in his arms?

Oh, my prince charming!
On the day I was born
You began to follow
Like my own shadow.

My senses are aching,
My tantalising darling,
Really feeling you by my side,
But still unseen and untouched.

I gasp for breath
When you brush by me!
All I can do is nothing but
Waiting, waiting and waiting!

Come and end my agonies!
Open the gates of ecstasies!
Finally the consummation
Shall be my emancipation!

Birth and death of mortals
Two sides of a coin make-
A meaningful whole behind
This game of hide and seek!
