சிஸ்டிநோசிஸ் நோய் குறித்து மியாட் மருத்துவமனை சிறுநீரக மருத்துவ துறைத் தலைவரும், "சேபியன்ஸ் ஹெல்த் பவுண்டேஷன்' தலைவருமான டாக்டர் ராஜன் ரவிச்சந்திரன் கூறுகையில், "சிஸ்டிநோசிஸ்' என்பது குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஏற்படக்கூடிய மரபணு சார்ந்த அரிய வகை நோயாகும். உலகம் முழுவதும் இந்த நோயால் 2 ஆயிரம் குழந்தைகள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இந்தியாவில் எவ்வளவு குழந்தைகளுக்கு இந்த நோய் பாதிப்பு உள்ளது என்பது தெரியவில்லை. மொத்தம் 6 குழந்தைகளுக்கு இந்த அரிய நோய் பாதிப்பு உள்ளது "சேபியன்ஸ் ஹெல்த் பவுண்டேஷன்' அமைப்பின் மூலம் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.

குழந்தை பிறந்தவுடன் இந்த நோய் பாதிப்பு தெரியாது. எனினும் குழந்தை வளரும்போது உரிய காலத்தில் வளர்ச்சி இல்லாத நிலையில், சிறுநீர்ப் பரிசோதனையில் சர்க்கரை இருந்தாலோ அல்லது அமினோ அமிலம் வெளியேறினாலோ இந்த நோய் குறித்துச் சந்தேகப்பட வேண்டும்; உடனடியாக

குழந்தையின் விழி வெண்படலம் ("கார்னியா') நன்றாக உள்ளதா என்பதைத் தெரிந்து கொள்ள குழந்தையை கண் மருத்துவரிடம் அனுப்பி சிறப்புப் பரிசோதனைகள் செய்ய வேண்டும்.

முன்கூட்டியே இந்த நோயைக் கண்டுபிடித்துவிட்டால் குழந்தைக்கு சிறுநீரக மாற்று சிகிச்சை செய்து அதன் வளர்ச்சியை உறுதி செய்து காப்பாற்ற முடியும்.

இப்போது இரண்டு குழந்தைகளுக்கு இலவசமாக மருந்துகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும் இரண்டு குழந்தைகளின் மருந்துச் செலவுக்கு உரிய தலா ரூ.2 லட்சம், நன்கொடை மூலம் திரட்டப்பட்டு வருகிறது," என்றார்.

Again as usual .. you missed my point no suprise unga rangekku I can't explain I am sorry.. point was despite of living what 30 something years outside karnataka he still has the grip on the language.. Rajinikanth requests Ambareesh to quit smoking- TIMES OF INDIA
Tuesday evening at the Bangalore Palace Grounds was all about celebrating Rebel Star Ambareesh's 60th birthday and his 40-year contribution to Kannada cinema. But the highlight of the evening was, undeniably, the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth, who was one of the first high-profile guests to arrive at the venue, and also the last to speak at the event.
It was nearly 11 pm when the Superstar took the stage, addressing all the guests in chaste Kannada. He spoke at length about the many good qualities Ambi has, like Krishnamsha — his ability to solve problems in the industry and Bheemamshaa — "I go to his house only for the biryani that is served," said Rajini. There's also the Duryodhanamsha, of knowing everything but not acting on it. "Ellam gothu (He knows everything). He knows that smoking is injurious to health, but he isn't doing anything about it," said Rajini, also seconding Shatrughan Sinha's request to Ambareesh to quit smoking.
Kick the butt
Earlier in the evening, when Shatru took the stage, he reminisced about how he, Rajini and Ambareesh were famed for their style of onscreen smoking. "Years ago, on a May 31, I gave up smoking. Rajini doesn't smoke anymore. I urge Ambareesh to give up smoking this World No Tobacco Day for his own good, to have him lead a happy and healthy life, and also to ensure that his fans get to see more of him for a very long time. He should now get ready to lead society," said Shatru.
The Guest List
No doubt, Rajinikanth was the guest of honour, but there were other high-profile diginitaries at the event too. Ambareesh's good friend Mohan Babu came accompanied by daughter Lakshmi Manchu. Stars Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna completed the entourage from Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi even kissed the Rebel Star onstage and said that Ambareesh inspired him to take the plunge into politics.
"Whenever I feel low, I think about Ambareesh and instantly get recharged. He always says that mistakes are a part of life and that one shouldn't get bogged down by that," said Chiru.
Ambi's yesteryear heroines Ambika and Jayaprada were there, as was pal Kushboo. The B-town factor may have been just Shatru, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty, but the organizers ensured that all of Ambi's good pals who couldn't make it to the event made their presence felt.
An audio-visual presentation saw Amitabh Bachchan, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Mani Ratnam, Arjun Sarja, Anil Kapoor, Lakshmi and Radhika Sarathkumar, among others, wish the Rebel Star on his big day. State chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda, minister R Ashok and Maharashtra politico Sushil Kumar Shinde were also present.
Colourful show
The organizers promised a 6.30 pm start to the show and start they did — bang on time. As perhaps one of the best organized Sandalwood events, the show saw the who's who of the industry chip in either with dance performances, or skits based on the Rebel Star's professional and personal life.
Notable among them being Sudeep's take on Kanwarlal, Shivanna's performance with Aindrita Ray and Radhika Pandit, and Darshan doing his bit on a bicycle while wooing Ramya with the line 'Mere Sapnon Ke Rani, Aye bulbul maathadakkilwa'. Upendra and wife Priyanka performed together for the first time on this stage. Puneet Rajkumar, Prem, Vijay, Yogi, Aditya, Harshika Poonacha, Komal, Yash, Kitty, Diganth and many more made this show just the right tribute to the Rebel Star.
Birthday wishes pour in
Amitabh Bachchan: Ambareesh has been a wonderful colleague and my well-wisher. He has been a great friend all these years.
Kamal Haasan: I have known Ambareesh for so long and nothing has changed so far except his body size. He might carry the wild young man tag, but he is a great friend and is like a child.
Mohanlal: It's wonderful to have known this man. He is known for his charity and he never hesitates to help people in need. He is the master of the Karnataka film industry.
Mammootty: I met Ambareersh in person very late in my career, but I want to add that I am one of his oldest fans.

Honest Sir, this is the attitude I am refering to. Let me try re-phrasing this question for example If I travelled to lets say chennai (veen vambu) mumbai. Do you think I can survive by just talking tamil ? Foreign countrykku pona mattum engli-piecela pasi chumma 70mm film than with kodumai-yana local english accent vera . But people won't even TRY to learn a local language if they are in India another state?

my comment was a general observation on people(thamilnadu,andhra,north indians) who moved to Garnadaga for livelihood enjoyed everything yet refused to learn local langauge as if its a sin.

How did you conclude this Nerd?, I can speak Tamil much better and fluently than anyone who speaks koovam tamil. Infact at home despite of kannada being the primary language , we learnt tamil from a diehard tamil fan (illa tamilachi). Just becuause I can't type tamil-english.. or write in tamil pl don't conclude otherwise. :)

I am not a salesman: Amitabh Bachchan

He has endorsed almost every consumer product right from hair oil to cars, but megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is not a salesman.

The 69-year-old actor is amused by Bollywood's current obsession with marketing films and the crores spent to draw attention of the audience.

"Now... Gosh I fail to even imagine the various 'technologies' that are put into use for attention to be drawn towards a particular film. Any and every medium that has the patronage or attention of the masses, is exploited for the benefit of a film on release.
"Spend tons of money, almost the entire budget of the film at times, to get in the audience for that crucial first week and rest," he wrote in his blog.

Bachchan talked about how actors like Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan leave no stone unturned to promote their films.

"During the time I was hosting 'Big Boss', Akshay had come along to be a part of the programme to promote one of his films. After finishing his stint he needed to rush back to Mumbai to attend another programme on TV for the same promotion. I asked him why he was rushing around like this. He said, almost apologetically – what to do sir ji, one has to do this!!

"On a casual conversation with Shah Rukh once, he told Abhishek I think – 'I am very good at marketing, if you ever need any help on that, let me know'," the veteran actor said.

Bachchan said he is not capable of such marketing but has to succumb to it unwillingly due to the demands of the times.

"I am not a salesman and to expect this talent from me would be wishful thinking. But the region and area of work that we function in, has made it mandatory for all of us to succumb unwillingly into the depths of its operations.

"I asked Rajinikanth once what he thought of all this... He gave me a simple answer. 'I am an actor Amit ji, not a salesman. What is the need to go and sell myself. எனக்கு இரவெல்லாம் தூக்கமில்லை. யோசித்துப் பார்த்தேன். சிவாஜி வீட்டு விழா. நாம போகாம இருக்கிறது சரியில்ல… என்ற முடிவு செய்து, பிரபுவுக்கு மட்டும் காலையில் போன் செய்து, நான் விழாவுக்கு வருகிறேன் என்றேன். வந்து விட்டேன்.

சிங்கப்பூர் மருத்துவமனையில் நான் சிகிச்சை பெற்றபோது கமல் என்னை பார்க்க வந்திருந்தார். டாக்டர்கள் சந்திக்க விடாததால் வருத்தத்தோடு திரும்பினார்.

ரஜினியைப் பார்க்க நான் சிங்கப்பூர் போயும், பார்க்க அனுமதிக்கவில்லையே என்று வெளியில் சொல்ல முடியாத சூழலாகிவிட்டதே என கமல் என்னிடம் பின்னர் வருத்தத்துடன் கூறினார். ஐயாம் சாரி கமல்… நான் சென்னை திரும்பியதும் நானே உங்களை வந்து சந்திக்கிறேன் என்று தெரிவித்தேன். சென்னை திரும்பியதும் முதலில் அவரிடம்தான் பேசினேன்.

கமல் மிகச் சிறந்த கலைஞர். அவருக்கு ஹாலிவுட் படத்தை நடித்து இயக்க கமலுக்கு அழைப்பு வந்துள்ளது. அதுவும் சாதாரண தயாரிப்பாளரிடமிருந்தல்ல… லார்ட் ஆப் தி ரிங்ஸ் படத்தைத் தயாரித்த நிறுவனத்திடமிருந்து. இதன் மூலம் தமிழ் திரையுலகுக்கும், இந்தியாவுக்கும் கமல் பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளார்.

என் ரசிகர்கள், என் மீது அன்பு செலுத்தி பிரார்த்தனை செய்த மக்களைப் பற்றி நான் என்ன சொல்வதென்றே தெரியவில்லை. அவர்ளை நான் சந்திக்கக் கூட இல்லை. அது எனக்கு மிகுந்த சங்கடமாக உள்ளது.

என்னைப் போன்ற கலைஞர்கள், பர்மார்மன்ஸ் – படங்களில் நடித்து அவர்களைத் திருப்திப்படுத்துவதன் மூலம்தான் ஓரளவு இதை திருப்பிச் செலுத்த முடியும். அப்படி நான் சில படங்களைச் செய்ய, அதற்கான உடல் பலம் தேவை. நான் ஒரு இயக்குநர் அல்ல, எழுத்தாளர் அல்ல. நடிகன். உடல்தான் அதற்கு மூலம். எனவே அதில் கவனம் செலுத்த வேண்டியிருக்கிறது.

இளைய தலைமுறை நடிகர்களுக்கு நான் ஒன்றைச் சொல்வேன். வருடத்துக்கு ஒரு படம் மட்டும் நடிப்பது என்று இல்லாமல் இரண்டு, மூன்று படங்களில் நடிக்க வேண்டும். அப்போதுதான் ஒரு படம் நன்றாக போகாவிட்டாலும், மற்றவை கை கொடுக்கும். இல்லாவிட்டால், ஒரு படம் சரியாகப் போகாத டென்ஷன், மன அழுத்தம் காரணமாக அடுத்த படத்தில் கவனம் சிதறிவிடும்.

சிவாஜியின் பேரன் விக்ரம் பிரபுவுக்கு இந்த கலையுலகமே கை கொடுக்கும். அவருக்கு பின்னால் பலர் இருக்கிறார்கள். எதற்காகவும் அவர் பயப்பட தேவையில்லை.

சிவாஜி பற்றி எல்லோரும் நிறைய சொன்னார்கள். எனக்கும் சொல்ல நிறைய இருக்கிறது. ஒன்றை மட்டும் சொல்ல விரும்புகிறேன். படையப்பா ஷூட்டிங்கின்போது நிறைய நேரம் அவருடன்தான் இருந்தேன்.

ஒரு முறை அவர் என்னிடம் சொன்னார்…”நீ புத்திசாலிடா.. உன்னால காலரைத் தூக்கிவிட்டு நடக்க முடியும். ஆனால், காலரைத் தூக்கினா பட்டன் கழன்டுடும்னு உனக்குத் தெரிஞ்சிருக்கு. அதான் அப்படியே இருக்கேன்”னு சொன்னார். அதைத்தான் விக்ரம் பிரபுவுக்கும் சொல்லிக் கொள்கிறேன்…,” என்றார்.

RAJINIMANIA IN JAPAN

Endhiran rocking in Japan

We are all aware that Japan is the ‘robot’ capital of the world. Just as we know how much they love our very own Superstar.




So imagine the frenzy when Rajini plays a double role in a film, one of them being a robot! Endhiran released in Japan recently has evoked some phenomenal response, according to reports on the Internet.

The excitement is palpable all over the web with fans from across India, and Chennai in particular, congratulating and celebrating the Superstar’s popularity on social networking sites.

The Japanese dubbed version of the movie, starring Aishwarya Rai along with Rajini, is said to be doing exceedingly well.

So much so, that the two-hour edited version that was intended for the Japanese audience has now been replaced by the original three-hour version across hundreds of movie screens in the country.

“Four weeks gone and still going strong, the movie is still competing with mainstream Japanese films. The song Irumbile/Naina Miley has become an anthem and the Japanese are humming to it despite the language divide,” according to a website that posted pictures of fans wearing Endhiran masks and dressed as Chitti the robot on the streets of Japan.

The film’s music, scored by Academy award winner A.R. Rahman, went straight to the top of iTunes bestsellers after the release of the album!

Devadarshini, who plays a crucial role in the film, says, “I am super thrilled about this. I am glad that the Superstar still holds the fort in Japan. After Muthu, I think Endhiran has done it again in Japan.”

The ‘twitteratti’ hasn’t been too far behind in reacting to the trend. Tweets congratulating the thalaivar have been flying, like this one, “In his last birth Rajini must have been the father of Japan. This craze is something unbelievable.” and “Robot Country takes to Rajini’s Robot too.”

The film was also screened at the 24th Tokyo International Film Festival and won a special award in the ‘Winds of Asia-Middle East’ category.

Sivaji in 3 D - Delightful , Dazzling and Divine.

I happened to get a chance to view some parts of the film Sivaji ( The Boss) recently converted to 3 D and boy what an experience it was !!!

If I say that I was totally blown away , it is not an exaggeration. I have always been a bit doubtful of this technology and the results it produced and I must confess that I have revised my opinion in toto. Kudos to the Team at Prasad , they have done an absolutely splendid job. Every frame is so "alive" and I felt that Superstar as well as the others looked even better than they did in the film - so beautifully Cinematographed by K.V.Ananad. Shankar's larger than life canvas and his taste for the opulent is truly shining in this version. The sets that were breathtaking in the original are absolutely "Jaw Dropping" - another Kudos , this time to Thotta Tharani. We can safely expect that AVM will be doing its utmost to ensure that we can view this in all our favourite Cinema Halls/Multiplexes and of course they are the masters of Publicity , so we will all be well warned of the arrival.

I was talking to one of the Producers who told me that this was a project in which 400 people have been working for more than a year - WHO SAYS THAT THE FILM WORLD CANNOT KEEP A SECRET ?

Not a word of this came out till a few days ago. They have gone one step better than the earlier conversion attempts. They have gone for "dual" image , which requires Two Projectors and the Server in the Theater to handle both , this has contributed to the sparklingly crystal clear 3 D images.

I have always been a fan of the "Superstar" and when the Titles come on and each of the letters S U P E R etc starts to jump out at you , I am sure the Theater will Thunder - Summa Kettala Adhurudhu Illa ???? I am given to understand that Superstar watched a few parts and was totally impressed with the quality of the work and has given his Thumbs up.

Like the rest of Tamil Cinema Fans , I am looking forward to the release which I understand is not very far off.......so Rajini fans can rejoice that their "Thalaivar" is going to come "live" and boy are we in for a Roller Coaster ride.......To me it was like watching a "brand new" Rajini film - this 3 D has made such a difference.
When he tosses the coin up.....it almost comes and hits you in the eye.....this is no toss of a coin, it is a sure blockbuster. The 3 D's I saw can simply be described as Dazzlingly Delightful and a Divine experience.

What makes me prouder is that all this hi tech conversion work was done here in NAMMA CHENNAI -

The advertising rate for 10 seconds in sony channel is 2 lakhs. Considering 60 minutes of advertisements will be aired during the telecast of movie, the revenue accounts to be 7.2 crores. So when they telecast the movie for 2 times, they can get their investment back....

40c worth satellite rights for bollywood movies is quite possible. The advertising cost would go upto Rs.500000/10 sec during peak hours. If the movie has got good recall value, sure they can make good profits...

I don't know about Audio CD sales but If you think it as Audio rights then there are many ways to make money. I am not getting into the details but with Audio, either the MD or Producer or the company which buys rights has many ways to make money. Sites like thiraipaadal.com streams audio(won't allow download, but only listen online) and they don't have any ADs so there is no revenue for them.But Raaga.com which does similar thing is ad supported site and thus there is revenue model which they could share with MD/Producer/Audio Rights owner. Same goes to many websites like saavn.com, and FM channels, Music channels in TV and very imp, mobile ringtones.

James Vasanthan sold his kangal irandaal mobile ringtone rights for just 5 lakhs but the mobile co's made many lakhs/crores profit out of that and he felt he missed the chance! Like wise, Audio has multiple channels and more/quick money to make, than DVD rights. How many buy blu ray discs and that too, there you need some investment in preparing that high quality disc whereas audio, the source material is already there and with slight modifications, its ready for doing business in multiple methods. Audio CDs is just one among them.

ரஜினியை ஏன் விமர்சனங்கள்.. எதிர்ப்புகள் ஒன்றும் செய்வதில்லை தெரியுமா? அது அவரது அதிகபட்ச நேர்மை.. ‘உன்னால் எனக்கொன்றும் ஆகவேண்டியதில்லை… என்னால் உனக்கு ஆகப்போவதும் ஒன்றுமில்லை. எனக்கு நான் நேர்மையாக இருந்தால் போதும்,’ என்ற நினைப்புதான் அவரை அவராகவே இருக்க வைக்கிறது. அதற்கு சிறந்த உதாரணம் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா முன்னிலையில் அவர் பேசிய பேச்சு!

வரிசையாகப் பேசிய எல்லோருமே – இளையராஜா தவிர – கொஞ்சமல்ல, ரொம்பவே செயற்கையாக, ஒருவித பயத்துடனே பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கையில், ரஜினியின் பேச்சில் அப்படி ஒரு யதார்த்தம்.

‘ரஜினி – கமல் காம்பினேஷன்’ காலத்துக்குப் பின் வந்த ரஜினியின் சூப்பர் ஹிட் படங்கள் பில்லா, தீ, போக்கிரிராஜா, பொல்லாதவன் போன்றவற்றுக்கெல்லாம் எம்எஸ்விதான் இசை.

கடைசியாக இருவரும் இணைந்த படம் முக்தா சீனிவாசன் இயக்கிய சிவப்பு சூரியன்.

எம்எஸ்வி – ராமமூர்த்தி பற்றி அலங்காரமாக எதுவும் பேசவில்லை ரஜினி. ஆனால் சாகாவரம் பெற்ற பிறவிகள் வரிசையில் அவர்களை வைத்துவிட்டார்.

பொதுவாக அவர் விரும்பினாலும் விரும்பாவிட்டாலும் அவர் நிற்கும் மேடை அரசியலாகிவிடுகிறது.. அவர் பேச்சிலும் அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் வந்துவிடுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் நேற்றைய பேச்சு நிச்சயம் அரசியல் அல்ல!

இந்த மேடையில் இறப்புக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட தலைவர்கள், கலைஞர்கள் பற்றிப் பேசும்போது, காமராஜர், அண்ணா, எம்ஜிஆர், சிவாஜி, கண்ணதாசன் வரிசையில் எம்எஸ்வியையும் வைத்த ரஜினி, மேடைக்கு ஒரு பேச்சு என்பது தன் வழக்கமல்ல என்பதை உணர்த்த நினைத்தாரோ.. அல்லது அவருக்கே உரிய நேர்மையின் வெளிப்பாடோ… இந்த தலைவர்கள் வரிசையில் கருணாநிதியையும் அவர் வைத்தார். அதுவும் அரசியலில் கருணாநிதியை தனது ஜென்ம எதிரியாக நினைக்கும் ஜெயலலிதா முன்னிலையில்.

கருணாநிதியின் பெயரை ரஜினி அந்த மேடையில் உச்சரித்தபோது, அதுவரை எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் ஆர்ப்பரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த பார்வையாளர்கள் கப்சிப்பென்று ஆகிவிட்டார்கள். காமிரா முதல்வர் முகத்தைக் காட்ட, அவர் ஆர்வத்துடன் ரஜினி பேசுவதைக் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

தான் அனைவருக்குமே பொதுவானவன்தான். யார் நல்லது செய்தாலும் சரி.. மக்கள் நன்றாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை அவர் பகிரங்கமாகவே உணர்த்தியிருக்கிறார் இதன் மூலம்.

ஒரு தலைவரின் மேடையில், மாற்றுக் கட்சித் தலைவரைப் புகழ்வது.. பாராட்டுவது ரஜினிக்குப் புதிதல்ல.

கருணாநிதி முதல்வராக வீற்றிருந்த ‘சிவாஜி வெள்ளி விழா மேடை’யில், மறக்காமல் ‘இந்தப் படத்தைப் பார்க்க நேரம் ஒதுக்கி என்னைப் பாராட்டிய முன்னாள் முதல்வர் செல்வி ஜெயலலிதாவுக்கு என் மனமார்ந்த நன்றி’ என்று ரொம்ப கூலாக சொன்னார்!

அதே கருணாநிதி முதல்வராக இருக்கும்போதுதான், ‘உங்க பேரைச் சொல்லி மிரட்டிக் கூப்பிடறாங்க,” என்று அஜீத் முறையிட்டபோது, கருணாநிதியின் வலது பக்கத்தில் அமர்ந்திருந்த ரஜினி எழுந்து நின்று கைத்தட்டிப் பாராட்டினார்.

அந்த விழாவிலேயே, ஜெயலலிதா திரையுலகினருக்காக நிலம் ஒதுக்கியதைக் குறிப்பிட்டு, அவருக்கு நன்றியும் சொன்னவர் ரஜினி.

இதற்கெல்லாம் சிகரம் வைத்த நிகழ்ச்சி ஒன்று இருக்கிறது. அது இளைஞன் விழா. சத்யம் அரங்கில் முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி பாராட்டு மழையில் நனைந்து கொண்டிருந்த நேரம். வெளியே பேய் மழை. ஒரு நாள் இரண்டு நாள் அல்ல.. கிட்டத்தட்ட 1 வார கால மழை. மக்கள் படாதபாடுபட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். தன் முறை வந்தபோது, “முதல்வருக்கு நிறைய வேலை இருக்கும். வெளிய மக்கள் படாத பாடுபட்டுக்கிட்டிருக்காங்க.. சாப்பாடு, கரண்ட், ரோடு வசதியில்லே.. நான் அதிக நேரம் பேச எடுத்துக்கல,” என்று மகா நாகரீகத்துடன் இடித்துக் காட்டியவர் இதே சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிதான்!

ரசிகர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, ரஜினியை விமர்சிப்பவர்களும் முழுமையாக ஒப்புக் கொள்ளும் விஷயம் இது.

ஒரு முறை ரஜினி இப்படிக் குறிப்பிட்டார்…

“ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சிக்குப் போகணும்னு கமிட் பண்ணிக்கிட்டா, அங்க போயி என்ன பேசறதுண்ணு நிறைய யோசிச்சு வைப்பேன். காலையிலே வரும்போதும், மேடையில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் போதும்கூட நினைவிருக்கும். ஆனா, மைக்கைக் கையிலெடுத்ததும், நான் நினைச்சிட்டிருந்த அத்தனையும் எனக்கு மறந்துடும். ப்ளாங்க்.. அப்போ என் மனசுல படறதை, உண்மையா நினைக்கிறதை டக்குனு பேசிடுவேன்!”

ஜெயா டிவியின் நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சியில் அரங்கை அதிர வைத்த விஷயம், சோ பற்றிய சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினியின் கமெண்ட்தான். சோ – ரஜினி நட்பு குறித்து புதிதாக சொல்ல வேண்டியதில்லை.

நேற்றைய விழாவில், ஜெயா டிவியின் சுவாரஸ்யமான நிகழ்ச்சிகள் குறித்துப் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்த ரஜினி, சோவின் எங்கே பிராமணன் தொடர் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

அதில், “…அப்புறம் சோவின் எங்கே பிராமணன், தொடரை நான் விரும்பிப் பார்ப்பேன். அதில் சோ கொடுக்கிற விளக்கங்கள் நல்லா இருந்தது. ஆனா அதுக்கப்புறம் நின்னுடுச்சி.

நான்கூட சோ கிட்ட, ஏன் நிறுத்திட்டீங்கன்னு கேட்டேன். அதுக்கு அவர் சொன்னார், ‘சிஎம் கூட என்கிட்ட கேட்டாங்க.. ஆனா எனக்குத்தான் நேரமில்லே’ன்னார். இந்த தமிழ்நாட்ல, சிஎம் சொல்லியும் கேட்காத ஒரு ஆள் இருக்கார்னா அது சோ சார்தான்…” என்றார்.


ரஜினியின் இந்தப் பேச்சுக்கு அரங்கமே கைத்தட்டலிலும் சிரிப்பிலும் அதிர்ந்தது… அப்போது சோ முகத்தைப் பார்க்க வேண்டுமே… தலையில் கை வைத்துக் கொணடு, ‘ஏம்பா இதெல்லாம்?’ என்று லேசாக சிரித்தபடி அவர் வாய் முணுமுணுத்தது, தொலைக்காட்சியில் தெரிந்தது.

பேச்சு முடிந்து, பாடல்களைக் கேட்க மேடையிலிருந்து முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா இறங்கி வந்ததும், முதலில் அவரை நோக்கி வேகமாக வந்தவர் சோதான். ரஜினியின் பேச்சு குறித்து அவர் ஏதோ சொல்ல முயல.. ‘நான் அதை ரொம்ப ரசிச்சேன். சீக்கிரம் ஆரம்பிச்சிடுங்க (தொடர்)’, என சிரித்தபடி கூறிவிட்டு அமர்ந்தார் ஜெயலலிதா!

தமிழ் சினிமாவில் சுவாரஸ்யம் இருக்கிறதோ இல்லையோ, சினிமாவுக்கு வெளியே சுவாரஸ்யத்துக்கு பஞ்சம் இல்லை. அதில் ஒன்றுதான் இது. 1974ம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த படம் அவள் ஒரு தொடர்கதை. கே.பாலச்சந்தர் இயக்கிய படம், சுஜாதா, கமல், ஜெய் கணேஷ் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் நடித்திருந்தனர். தெய்வம் தந்த வீடு வீதி இருக்க... கடவுள் அமைத்து வைத்த மேடை... போன்ற சாகாவரம் பெற்ற பாடல்கள் இடம்பெற்ற படம். அப்போது மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றி பெற்றது. இதே படத்தை 1976ம் ஆண்டு அந்துலேனி கதா என்ற பெயரில் தெலுங்கில் இயக்கினார் பாலச்சந்தர். இதில் கமல் தமிழில் நடித்த கேரக்டரில் நடிததார். சுஜாதா நடித்த கேரக்டரில் ஜெயபிரதா நடித்தார். ஜெய்கணேஷ் நடித்த கேரக்டரில் ரஜினி நடித்தார். அங்கும் இந்தப் படம் பெரிய வெற்றி பெற்றது.

இப்போது பழைய படங்களை தூசி தட்டி எடுத்து வெளியிடும் சீசன். அதனால் சிம்பொனி மூவீஸ் என்ற நிறுவனத்தார். அந்துலேனி கதாவை தூசி தட்டி எடுத்துள்ளனர். அவள் ஒரு தொடர்கதை தமிழில் நாம் பார்த்த படம்தான் என்றாலும் தெலுங்கில் ரஜினி நடித்திருப்பதால் ஒரு கணக்குபோட்டு இந்தப் படத்தை இப்போது டப்பிங் செய்து வருகிறார்கள். கடவுள் அமைத்து வைத்த மேடை என்று படத்துக்கு பெயர் வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். ரஜினிக்கு அவரது குரலில் பேசும் மிமிக்ரி கலைஞர் ஒருவர் வாய்ஸ் கொடுத்து வருகிறார். இது எப்படி இருக்கு?

PLOT:

Aiyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Chandran (for short, A.A.K. Chandran) (Rajinikanth) is a playful young man. Upon completion of his degree, his uncle (Poornam Viswanathan) advises him to attend an interview for a job at his friend Sri Ramachandramurthy's (Thengai Srinivasan) company. The doctor advises Chandran to act in a manner most appreciated by Sri Ramachandramurthy namely wearing a Nehru kurta, telling his full name always, giving importance to his moustache, showing a lack of interest in sports and drama, giving respect to his father's words (i.e., by repeating the phrase "My Father always told me" often) and detesting the concept of recommendations.
During the job interview, Chandran followed his uncle's advice perfectly and gets the job along with a beaming smile from his boss. However, Chandran eventually gets caught when Sri Ramachandramurthy watches him at a football match, which he attends with his friends. He took leave on that day by telling his boss that his mother (who died many years ago) was in a serious medical condition. To escape from the ire of his boss and being fired, he makes his boss believe that it was his (fake) twin brother Indran (without a moustache) who was at the match and not himself. This idea was inspired by a dual-role played by his actor friend Nagesh in a fictional film where he is in two roles: one with a moustache and one without.
Sri Ramachandramurthy (although not convinced but feeling guilty due to suspecting his top employee) wants to see Chandran's brother Indran as well as his mother and wants Indran to teach music to his daughter Sarojini (Madhavi).
Chandran was startled at the request but agreed to it. He seeks his friend Nagesh for help. Nagesh advises Chandran to remove his moustache and go ahead acting as Indran. Chandran was reluctant to remove his moustache but goes ahead with it as there is no other way to continue the drama. The now moustache-less Indran was the anti-thesis of the Chandran as seen by Sri Ramachandramurthy. Indran takes music classes for Sri Ramachandramurthy's daughter Sarojini and the two fall in love.
For most of the rest of the film Chandran was leading a dual life: a sincere hardworking employee to his boss and a typical cool young guy (Indran) while teaching music to his boss' daughter.

Rajinikanth to play God in OMG's Tamil remake

He is no less a God for his legions of fans. And if all goes well, Rajinikanth may well play himself that is God - in the Tamil version of OMG Oh My God. Of late, Ashwini Yardi, Akshay Kumar's business partner in Grazing Goat Productions, which is producing OMG Oh My God, starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, had been fielding enquiries from the south about whether she was interested in selling the rights of the film.

In fact just a few days ago, south filmmaker Krishna Prasad flew in to Mumbai to meet her. Prasad happens to know Rekha and Chinni Prakash, the couple who've choreographed a few songs in OMG Oh My God. The choreographers confirmed the meeting and added, "Prasad has shown a keen interest in remaking OMG Oh My God in Tamil."

A source told TOI, "The meeting was fruitful. Prasad will soon be making a film with Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush. He will use his good offices with Rajini to rope him for the south remake of Oh My God."

And with God (read Rajini) most probably on board Prasad's remake, Yardi and Akshay are now considering a joint production with the filmmaker. "If you get Rajinikanth on board, the film becomes huge, doesn't it? It's but natural for Yardi and even Akshay to think of a joint venture," said the source.

Saw BABA last saturday in SUN tv. It had more substance than Sivaji but the presentation could have been better... 1st half was breezy with nice one lines from goundamani annan and had some nice scenes and dialogules that suits Rajini. The songs could have been filmed better and the fight sequences looked silly and cheesy. From the point, he gets 7 wishes from Babaji, the writing could have been more imaginative. Instead of scenes like kites, neelambari, 10 lakhs, they could have written and executed pure fantasy stuffs which would have taken the movie to other level. The things like saamiyar,back bone etc., made it look like a rama narayanan movie. The confrontation scenes thalaivar have with both Ippo ramasamy and CM purushotaman were excellent...

The movie might do well, if they reshot stunts,climax,7 wishes scenes and re release the movie in 3d.seven wishes scenes if filmed bettter have got excellent potential for 3d.
