We can't compare the quality of films of 60s with 70's
similarly the quality of films of 80s can't be same as 70s
90s films are generally better than 80s
There may be exceptions, one may have different view.
Even NT had replied to questions, why his films of late 70s are not the same as earlier films.
a recent posting of NTs interview in this thread, explains these questions
NT had to compete with young actors in late 70s and 80s.
by then he was only acting as more of supporting role than lead role
or
The general film goer was comparing NT with other actors(rajini/Kamal)
that was wrong.
NT had beaten all those who competed with him-He is the real hero who won time.
we can't even compare one of his films with his other film.
For e.g Kalatta Kalyanam and Bale Pandiya-we may say both are comedy films
but if u start looking at closely, we may find various differences btw both the films.
Note: my daughter 6 yrs old, likes both these films and could not find the different NT's and MR Radha's
